The Helios Hospital Bad Saarow has received a new seal of quality from the German Cancer Society (DKG) for the treatment of neuro-oncological tumors. The certification confirms the high quality standards, the close interdisciplinary cooperation and the outstanding patient care in the highly specialized field of tumor diseases of the central nervous system.

The Neurooncology Center at the Helios Hospital Bad Saarow meets the demanding criteria of the German Cancer Society (DKG) and implements the latest guidelines in diagnostics and therapy. This ensures comprehensive care with individually tailored treatment approaches. Patients also have access to innovative treatment methods as part of clinical studies.

Highly specialized treatment for tumors of the central nervous system

Tumors of the central nervous system can occur in the brain and spinal cord. While some tumors such as meningiomas or schwannomas are often benign, others, especially tumors of the supporting cells of the brain, are usually malignant. Treatment therefore requires an individualized strategy that focuses not only on the best possible functionality and quality of life, but also on prolonging the patient's life.
