Doctor from Helios Hamburg joined the board of the German Heart Foundation

The German Heart Foundation has appointed Dr. Ryszard Wesolowski to its Scientific Advisory Board. Dr. Wesolowski is the Chief Physician of Cardiology / Internal Intensive Care Medicine at the Helios Mariahilf Hospital in Hamburg. The cardiology specialist will support the patient organization’s voluntary committee with his scientific expertise in the future.

The certificate of appointment to the Scientific Advisory Board of the non-profit organization was personally presented to Dr. Wesolowski by Cornelia Hoffmann, honorary representative of the German Heart Foundation, at the Helios Mariahilf Hospital.

The Scientific Advisory Board advises the Executive Board of the German Heart Foundation on all medical and scientific matters, as well as on the allocation of funding. In addition, board members support the foundation in media inquiries, nationwide awareness campaigns, and serve as speakers at heart seminars organized regionally by voluntary representatives of the foundation. They also provide information about the work of the patient organization, supported by local representatives. The Scientific Advisory Board of the German Heart Foundation — the largest patient organization in the field of cardiovascular diseases in Germany — includes nearly all leading clinicians and researchers in cardiology and cardiac surgery in the country.
