The hospital specializes in the treatment of heart diseases, gastroenterology and oncology. But also for other diseases, the recovery rate at the hospital is above the average. For example, in 2018, all 22 colon removal operations in cancer and 108 intestinal hernias removal operations were successful, that is, with 0% mortality. In 2018, the doctors of the clinic performed 331 vascular surgeries (including high-risk procedures on gangrene and abdominal aortic aneurysm patients) with no mortalities. 100% of uterine removal surgeries were performed successfully.

Medical Care

Helios Munich West has a cardiac catheterization department, stroke and chest pain departments, a certified intestinal disorders' center, a hybrid operating room, and a radiology department. Innovative technologies and available scientific research resources make it possible to treat heart diseases using the most advanced minimally invasive procedures. The vascular surgery department at Helios Munich-West is the largest in Munich and one of the best in Germany. It also hosts an interdisciplinary aortic health center, where vascular surgeons from Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg combine their expertise to treat aneurysms, aortic dissections and occlusions.

Arriving by Car

The Helios Hospital, Munich West is located in the western part of Bavaria’s capital city and can be easily reached via the highways A8, A96 and A99. You can park your car in the garage right outside the hospital.

Arrival by Train and Public Transport

The hospital is likewise easily accessible by train/public transport. Munich-Pasing Station, an important interchange for local, regional and intercity trains is within walking distance. Most regional and intercity trains — including several trains towards Augsburg, light rail (S-Bahn) lines to Buchloe and Tutzing, and Alex trains (privately run) to Lindau and Oberstdorf — stop at Pasing Station.

Arrival by Plane

Munich’s Franz Josef Strauß Airport (MUC) is one of the largest air traffic hubs in Europe. It can be reached by car in just under 40 minutes. You should allow approximately 90 minutes to make the journey by public transport.

Memmingen Airport (FMM) is located approximately 100 km away.

The clinic is located in the district Pasing in Munich — a quiet area away from the crowded city centre, with its own character and cultural life. The surroundings include historic streets, many parks, shops and even an art cluster, so that the treatment at the clinic can be combined with exploring this nice area. All the patients of the clinic have an opportunity to choose an individual menu — kosher, halal, vegan or vegetarian. In the clinic there is an ATM, a coffee shop, a gift and flower shop and everything else patients may need, including Russian press and literature.
