As one of three Helios locations in Krefeld, we look after you with passion and empathy in Krefeld's most traditional hospital. Since 1380, we have been caring for people with empathy, passion and the latest medical knowledge.
Helios Hospital Krefeld, Helios St. Josefshospital Uerdingen and Helios Cäcilien-Hospital Hüls are operating as one hospital under the umbrella of Helios Hospital Krefeld GmbH since January 2023. In terms of the number of inpatients, Krefeld thus currently has the largest hospital in North Rhine-Westphalia.
With the clear goal of tailoring treatment concepts even more precisely to patients than before, many small, joint steps of change added up to form a large whole: one hospital, three sites, one team. The vision of an integrated overall hospital is closely linked to targeted medical specialization, which takes into account the high demands of increasing complexity of treatment, as well as individual patient needs.

Region
Krefeld, the clinic's location, is a small historical town on the banks of the Rhine. Düsseldorf Airport is only 25 kilometers away from the clinic in Krefeld and can be reached in exactly half an hour.
At first, in 1845, a hospital was founded there, which is now known as a clinic. From the beginning of the 20th century it was operating as a surgical clinic, and then as clinic for skin diseases. After the war, the hospital was rebuilt several times, and since 2007 it belongs to the Helios clinic network. In 2014, the company redesigned it completely and now a modern multifunctional center has been opened to patients: a spacious and bright building with glass facades, convenient navigation and eco-friendly materials help patients to recover faster.
