Adenocarcinoma

Practically all adenocarcinomas develop from adenomas. Generally, the bigger the adenoma, the more probable it is to become cancerous. By the time colorectal cancer is diagnosed, it has often been growing for several years, first as a non-cancerous polyp (adenoma) and later as cancer.

Broken nose

A broken nose, also known as a nasal fracture, refers to any break or crack in the bony portion of the nose.  The most common place for the break to occur is the bridge of the nose.  A broken nose is typically caused by trauma arising from road accidents, contact sports, fights or falls.  A broken nose is usually accompanied by pain, swelling and bruising around the nose and below the eyes.  The nose may also appear crooked and one may have breathing difficulties.  A broken nose is generally treated non-surgically by bringing the nose into its previous position.  In more severe breaks, surgery might be necessary.<//font>

Crohn’s disease

Crohn’s disease is an inflammatory disease of the gastrointestinal tract (inflammatory bowel disease or IBD).  Crohn’s disease is an autoimmune disease, meaning that the body’s immune system attacks the intestines, causing an inflammation in the lining of the digestive tract.  This inflammation can cause numerous symptoms including abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, weight loss and malnutrition.  Crohn’s disease can be very painful and can potentially lead to fatal complications.  Although there is currently no cure for Crohn’s disease, treatments aimed at controlling the symptoms and keeping the disease in remission are established and have proven to be successful in many cases.
