Farsightedness

Farsightedness or hyperopia is a common condition whereby distant objects can be seen clearly but close objects can not.  The degree of severity of farsightedness is proportional to the distance at which objects can first be seen clearly.  People are generally born with farsightedness and farsightedness tends to run in the family.  Farsightedness can be corrected easily with glasses or contact lenses. Alternatively, farsightedness can also often be treated surgically.
