Hand numbness

Hand numbness either in one or both hands describes a loss of feeling or sensation in hands or fingers. Lack of feeling in hands is generally caused by irritation or compression of a nerve (branch) travelling to the arms, hands or fingers. Numbness in hands may perhaps be accompanied by prickling, burning, weakness or occasionally spiky pain. In some cases, numbness in hands is related with serious diseases, such as a stroke.
